Wave Channel

The planned wave channel is 30 meters long and 0.85 meters wide.

Using a piston wave machine, it will be possible to generate unidirectional, regular waves as well as irregular sea states and to study the interaction between waves and structures.
In addition, it should be possible to generate flow simultaneously with the waves, so that structures can be studied under both flow and wave loads.

The wave flume will be constructed as part of the new Architecture/Civil Engineering building.
