Elective module Interdisciplinary teaching
For interdisciplinary Elective Modules, please contact other departments and register directly with them for interdisciplinary Elective Modules. You must also register with the respective department’s examination office for the exams for these interdisciplinary Elective Modules. Coursework from the interdisciplinary weeks and language courses at the ZSIK can also be submitted for credit toward the interdisciplinary Elective Module.
Elective Modules, Winter Semester 2026/27
Here you will find the list of Elective Modules for the Winter Semester 2026/27 (applies to students under the old curriculum dated January 25, 2018; last updated on March 27, 2025)
Register for Elective Modules offered by the Department of Civil Engineering via the module registration system (in the FB ME section – “Winter Semester 2026/27 – B Bachelor’s Elective Modules IfB”).
Phase 1 : Submitpreliminary registrations : September 1 at 12:00 p.m. – September 3 at 12:00 p.m.
Phase 2 : Confirm registrations : September 3 at 12:10 p.m. – September 5 at 12:00 p.m.
Phase 3 : Confirm registrations reallocated from Phase 2: September 5, starting at 12:10 p.m. – September 6, 12:00 p.m.
Phase 4 : Register directly for remaining spots: September 6, starting at 12:10 p.m. – September 9, 12:00 p.m.
The course“English for General Purposes B2”(winter semester) serves, among other things, as preparation for the later course“C1 English for Civil Engineers”(summer semester).
An online placement test (LINK) must be taken for both Elective Modules. Anyone interested in the later elective module“C1 English for Civil Engineers” (Summer Semester) should also take the placement test now. Afterward, all students who have taken the test will receive further information about the module via email. Once placed in a level, students can register for the course through the module registration system (in the ZSIK section). Further information is available on the ZSIK website.
