Elective Module: "Asphalt Mix Design"

The Road Construction Laboratory periodically offers its students the opportunity to independently design an asphalt mix as part of an Elective Module. One of the goals here is to familiarize students with key regulations in asphalt road construction regarding the permissible composition of asphalt mixes. Great emphasis is placed on students independently designing an asphalt mix and then testing it in the laboratory. This is followed by the paving of the mix they designed themselves.
