IDW Event "We're Paving"

As part of the IDW event “We Pave—Road Construction in Practice,” we simulate real-world road construction scenarios. Using an actual damaged section of road, we analyze the cause of the damage and get to the bottom of the damage mechanism. This is done, among other things, through sample collection and core analysis.

We then remove the damaged section and repave it. Students have the opportunity to actively participate in the process themselves: from removing the old pavement to laying the new surface with a roller—including operating the equipment.
