Static Stamp Penetration Test

According to TL Asphalt StB Parts 20 and 88, the stamp penetration depth must be determined for mastic asphalt. The test specimens are cubes (edge length: 70.7 mm) produced from the mixtures to be tested at 240°C. The stamp penetration depth determined by the test at 40°C serves as a relative measure of the asphalt mixture’s resistance to plastic deformation under static loading.
