Granulator

The granulator is used to crush asphalt samples for determining bulk density. Approximately 1 kg of coarsely broken asphalt sample pieces is fed into the granulator at room temperature. There, they are mechanically crushed so that the granules can be used in pycnometer bottles to conduct the test for determining bulk density with water in accordance with EN 12697/5.
