Outgoing Students

A one- or two-semester stay at a foreign university with or without a double degree, an internship in a company or institution abroad or short programs such as summer schools during the lecture-free period - students at HAW Kiel have many opportunities to complete a foreign stay.

It is also possible for our teaching staff and employees from administration and technology to complete a (funded) stay abroad - be it in the form of guest lectureships or research stays, further training or language courses. The International Office will be happy to advise you.

Depending on when you plan to study abroad and which scholarship you’re applying for, you’ll need to meet different application deadlines. Our application deadlines for semester-long stays at our partner universities are based on their nomination deadlines. These vary from institution to institution. If you’ve missed an application deadline, it’s worth checking with the International Office to see if a later application is still possible.
