Study abroad

HAW Kiel cooperates with around 90 partner universities in Europe and overseas, where you can study as part of exchange programs. At these universities, you can easily apply for a place to study for one or two semesters, pay no or lower tuition fees and receive support with organizational issues. It is also easier to have credits earned abroad recognized.

In the departments of Mechanical Engineering, Media and Buisness, students also have the opportunity to obtain a double degree from HAW Kiel and selected partner universities.

At universities with which HAW Kiel does not cooperate, you can apply independently as a so-called "free mover" for a semester abroad. In this case, the organizational effort and costs are higher for you and there is no guarantee that your academic achievements will be recognized.
