Baltic Sea ConnecT 2026

Science. Buisness. Society: Universities shape change through innovation and collaboration

The European University of Flensburg (EUF), Stralsund University of Applied Sciences (HOST) and Kiel University of Applied Sciences (HAW Kiel)
cordially invite you to the Baltic Sea ConnecT 2026 network conference in Kiel on Thursday, June 18, 2026.

The one-day meeting is initially aimed at all German-speaking universities in Schleswig-Holstein and Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania that are located on the Baltic Sea and would like to cooperate more closely with each other and with foreign universities in the Baltic Sea region. In subsequent years, selected representatives from other countries bordering the Baltic Sea will also be invited.

Will Baltic Sea ConnecT 2026 be the start of regular exchange meetings or perhaps even the impetus for new project partnerships or a new university network for research, exchange and transfer in the Baltic Sea region? Regardless of any results, we would like to offer a platform for dialog between universities to get to know each other, explore common interests or areas of overlap and discuss in which areas cooperation with partner institutions from the Baltic Sea region can be more successful.

We cordially invite:

People who are involved in the areas of internationalization, research and/or transfer (e.g. researchers and teachers, specialists and managers from science administration) to present their project ideas, cooperation and innovation concepts at the conference and put them up for discussion.

The 1st conference will focus on specific topic clusters from the field of research and transfer:

Cluster A: Energy, Climate, Sustainability & Transformation

Cluster B: Sustainable living, Buisness and working in coastal and border regions

Cluster C: Digital transformation, AI & society

Cluster D: Research infrastructures

There will also be a workshop for networking and exchange in the field of internationalization.
All participants can choose between the various topics and workshops.
