What is the Deutschlandstipendium (DStip)?

The Deutschlandstipendium is a Germany-wide scholarship programme for talented students at state and state-recognized universities. In 2022, there were 30491 recipients of the Deutschlandstipendium throughout Germany.

The selected scholarship holders receive support of €300 per month for two consecutive semesters.

More information can be found on the Deutschlandstipendium website.

How does the funding work?

Half of the total amount of €300 per month is provided by the federal government, while the other half is provided jointly by one or more sponsors for 12 months. The procedure is explained in more detail in this overview:

Smaller amounts are also welcome. Amounts from several sponsors are then paid into the HAW Kiel Foundation. For example, 3 sponsors each set a monthly amount, which together amounts to €150. In addition to the €150 provided by the federal government, this results in a complete scholarship of €300.

If you are interested in funding or partial funding , please contact deutschlandstipendium(at)haw-kiel.de for further details or contact Ms. Anja Stapelfeldt on 0431/ 210 1002.
