Germany Scholarship
The Germany Scholarship is moving on to the next round....
… expected in the spring of 2027. All students enrolled at that time will be notified well in advance of the start of the application period.
For the funding period from September 2026 to August 2027, 44 Deutschlandstipendien were awarded.
The award ceremony for the Germany Scholarships will take place on Wednesday, October 7, 2026!
In 2019, on the occasion of its 50th anniversary, HAW Kiel participated in the Germany Scholarship program for the first time. Since then, numerous students from all departments have benefited from this support.
To be eligible for the scholarship, you must be enrolled at HAW Kiel for the 2026–27 winter semester, demonstrate exceptional academic performance, and be studying within the standard period of study.

Ceremonial presentation of the certificates for the Germany Scholarship 2025/2026 - 42 Germany Scholarships will be awarded at HAW Kiel this funding year!
On 25.11.2025, the scholarship holders and the sponsoring companies and individuals were presented with the certificates for the Deutschlandstipendium scholarship during a festive evening. Vice President Prof. Dr. Ruth Boerckel hosted the successful evening, during which the scholarship holders and sponsors were able to get to know each other over refreshments and drinks.
About the Germany Scholarship
In 2011, the federal government launched the Germany Scholarship to promote outstanding academic achievement, raise public awareness of education and talent, and help foster a new culture of scholarships in the country.
Recipients of the scholarship can expect to receive 300 euros per month for two semesters, with half of the amount provided by private sponsors—such as companies, foundations, or alumni—and the other half by the federal government. The scholarship is means-independent and can be received in addition to BAföG.
