Germany Scholarship

The Germany Scholarship is moving on to the next round....

After enrollment and registration for the 2026/27 winter semester, applicants will be notified in August 2026 whether they have been selected as scholarship recipients. We’ll be in touch as soon as all reviews are complete; please be patient for a little while longer.

An estimated 44 scholarships will be awarded for the 2026/27 funding period.

Save the Date: The Deutschlandstipendium award ceremony is expected to take place on Wednesday, October 7, 2026!

In 2019, HAW Kiel participated in the Germany Scholarship program for the first time to mark its 50th anniversary. Since then, this support has benefited numerous students across all academic disciplines.

The scholarship is available to students who are enrolled at HAW Kiel for the 2026/27 winter semester, demonstrate particularly strong academic performance, and are studying within the standard period of study.

About the Deutschlandstipendium

In 2011, the Federal Government initiated the Deutschlandstipendium in order to promote outstanding achievement by students and also to raise awareness of education and talent, and to contribute to a new scholarship culture in the country.

Those who are awarded a scholarship can expect around 300 euros per month, half from private sponsors and companies, foundations or alumni and the other half from the government. The promotion does not depend on income or BAföG (government loan).
