Insights into the Degree Program

Data Science is more than artificial intelligence

In the interdisciplinary Master's degree program Data Science, students learn how to use machine learning and artificial neural networks to make accurate predictions. In addition, they also develop an overall understanding of how data management, processing, analysis and visualization can be used profitably in data science projects.

  • Identify opportunities: Which problems can be solved? What are possible new products that can be created?
  • Realize innovations: Which data is valuable? Which AI algorithm achieves the best possible predictions? How can data science projects be realised in the cloud?
  • Incorporate data ethics and protection: How can companies protect sensible data? How can we ensure that AI is unbiased and explainable?

Students learn data science based on real-world use cases and can apply their knowledge using the relevant technologies and programming languages. This means they are ideally prepared to shape the future as data scientists in a wide range of industries.
