My semester abroad in Vienna comes to an end with a short trip to Prague.
The last 6 months internship in Purchasing as a Fashion Planning Analyst at Peek & Cloppenburg were an absolute enrichment for me, I was able to learn a lot professionally, get to know new people and places and had a very nice time.
I can highly recommend Vienna to everyone and I already miss the City. Vienna has so much to offer in terms of cafés, restaurants, cultural and leisure activities and is also an incredibly aesthetic City. I particularly liked the fact that there was also a lot to discover in the surrounding area: Budapest, Prague and Bratislava are simply must-sees!
If you are interested in a semester abroad in the City or an internship at P&C, I am of course happy to answer any questions you may have.

Hello from Bratislava!
My internship in Vienna is slowly coming to an end, so I used the time to explore the area once again. Bratislava is only an hour away from Vienna. Perfect for a day trip. The City has a very cute old town with lots of little stores to explore.

During the internship, I also had a term paper on the agenda.
The perfect place for it? The National Library!
The atmosphere there is really super pleasant and perfect for studying or writing homework.
What's more, I've never seen such a beautiful library building!!!
During the exam period you have to be quick though - because at 9am the best places were already taken and by 10am everything was full.

The first Christmas markets opened in Vienna last Friday.
I visited the Christmas market on Rathausplatz and was absolutely thrilled. The market is huge and even has an ice skating rink. The visit put me straight into the Christmas spirit.

On Monday, all the interns met at the head office to round off the year together.
We exchanged ideas and built gingerbread houses to the sound of punch and Christmas music.
The event was a great opportunity to get to know new interns from other departments and to network.
This may sometimes be neglected in the normal day-to-day work of an intern, but fortunately most companies have events like this.
At the weekend, I go home for Christmas and Silverster.

One of my favorite things to do in #Vienna: A walk through Schönbrunn Palace Park!
Especially in #autumn it is simply beautiful there.
There are impressive fountains, statues and monuments in the garden.
There are also paid attractions such as the maze, the zoo and the palm house. But a walk through the park is still the best part!
Besides, the park is so huge that even though I've been there 3 times, I still don't know everything.

Together with a friend, I spent a weekend in #Budapest. The beautiful City is only 3 hours by bus from #Vienna and therefore perfect for a short trip!
If you also want to spend a weekend in Budapest, here are my recommendations:
- Boat tour on the Danube
- Visit the Szimpla Kert ruin bar
- Fisherman's Bastion
- Matthias Church
- Castle Palace
- Try the Baumkuchen and langos

The Palmenhaus is one of the most beautiful coffee houses in Vienna and is located in the middle of the Burggarten.
The former Art Nouveau greenhouse was used by the emperor for relaxation and entertainment. Today you can drink a delicious coffee there and continue to enjoy the beautiful view. Right next door is the butterfly house.
Definitely worth a visit!!!

Last Saturday I attended the "Long Night of Museums" in Vienna!
For only 12€ you could immerse yourself in 660 museums all over Austria from 6pm to 1am.
I ticked 3 museums off my bucket list: the Albertina, Albertina Modern and the Natural History Museum.
Despite the crowds, the visit was definitely worth it!
Works by Picasso, Monet, Michelangelo, Yoshimoto Nara and many other artists were on display.

My highlights of the past few days

- Watching the sunset on the way home at the opera
- Going bowling with other interns from the company
- Spritzer stand at the Vienna University of Economics and Business
- A pretty flower stand on Kärntnerstraße
- Drinks with friends at Kleinod Bar

5 things I absolutely love about Vienna

1. Architecture - fascinates me anew every day
2. Mist showers and water dispensers - super practical on hot days
3. Nightlife - there's always something going on and the streets are full every evening
4. Traffic light men - sweeten your day
5. Public transport - great connections almost everywhere and no long waiting times
