Final video Volda

I had my last #exam today! It's hard to believe that it's almost all over now. After two intense weeks of work, I presented the photos I took over the semester in #Photoformedia.

The first snow in Norway: On a hike with the student organization @naturavolda, we climbed the Slogen and spent two nights in the Patchellhytta #Cabin at an altitude of over 800 meters. My clear highlights: building an #igloo and a #snowball fight. Next time I'll win!

What should you do at least once in #Norway? Go camping! The so-called Everyman's Right applies. This means, for example, that anyone can camp anywhere - well, as long as there are no signs prohibiting it. For example, on a pasture for sheep right by the #sea, where we set up camp. We even saw a few shooting stars at night!

Monday, 2.41 am: Finally northern lights! Together with a few fellow students, I spontaneously went to the harbor in #Volda because there should be a very good chance of seeing #northern lights that night. And indeed! However, they weren't as green as in the photo ;)

#Oktoberfest in Norway? Is that possible? Yes it is possible. Yesterday we were in the marquee in #Stryn. We even sang German Oktoberfest songs there... Only the beer we refused with a heavy heart (0.3 liters for 10 euros). #fromkielindiewelt

Always a good idea for a visit: Ålesund. The City is only about an hour and a half away from #Volda, although you have to use the #ferry once in between. There are also several #vintage stores in the small town center, such as @ldvintage_ My restaurant tip: @molobrew Here you will find #fishandchips as well as #burgers and a large selection of #craftbeer. Fun fact: After a devastating fire in 1904, the German Kaiser Wilhelm II donated numerous relief supplies to the City of Ålesund for reconstruction.

Plane, bus or car? Before my #semester abroad, I first had to take care of the journey. Together with my friend Christina, who is studying a semester in #Norway at the same time as me, we drove two days from Kiel to Volda by car. From Hirtshals (Denmark) we took the #ferry over to Kristiansand, then to Oslo for one night and the next day onwards to the #north. Absolutely the right decision! Thanks to the car, I have maximum flexibility and can go on longer trips more easily.
