My Erasmus semester is now over. It was a semester filled with new experiences and many wonderful moments. It's impressive what you can experience in just a few months! In the meantime, I have moved back to Kiel and vacated my small apartment in Denmark. I handed in my laptop at work and said goodbye to everyone. Thank you for the ride, Denmark!

I experienced a lot of this in Norway during my last semester abroad in Volda, but I certainly didn't expect it in Denmark.

It was over 15 degrees today and in Denmark that means: BARBECUE. That's what we did today at Albuen Strand. We enjoyed the day with lots of international friends. Lola, the dog I look after from time to time, was of course also there :)

Last weekend I went to visit some friends in Copenhagen and as always when I come here it was just beautiful. On the first picture you can see the black part of Superkilen, a square in Nørrebro. There are two other parts, the green park and the red square. You can find various objects from many countries scattered around, such as a Moroccan fountain and a Japanese octopus sculpture.
I then had an early Påskefrokost with a friend's family. An Easter lunch. It often includes rugbrød (brown bread) and a selection of fish and other spreads. Afterwards we had tartlettes (pies) and cake.

Last week I was allowed to go on a business trip to Szczecin, Poland. We have a large office there with around 140 colleagues. After work, I still had the evening to explore the City a bit and found so many beautiful corners!

Last week I was in Aarhus to register in Denmark. I only live about an hour by train from Aarhus, so I could just go to the immigration office after work. Afterwards I had a look around the City and will definitely come back at the weekend to see more.

The Fjordenhus:
Like the wave houses, the Fjordenhus is an architectural landmark in Vejle. It is illuminated at night and is said to resemble a lighthouse in the fjord.

The Danish flag. In Denmark, it is not only seen as the national flag, but also as a birthday symbol. Even when booking a table in a restaurant, you can indicate that you would like a flag on the table.
My colleagues say that they don't even perceive the flag as a national flag in a birthday context. Exciting, I think.
In any case, I was told this at work this week begrüßt☺️

This weekend two friends came over to see Vejle and visit me. Fortunately, Denmark is not far away, so it was possible without much effort :)

I went hiking here in Vejle in Nørreskoven today. It's so easy to get out of the City and into nature. I really like that about Vejle! A really nice break in the countryside and the weather even cooperated!
