FINAL POST
The Erasmus adventure in The Hague is now also over and we are on our way back to Kiel.
We had an incredibly wonderful time and met the loveliest people. We really liked The Hague as a City, there is a lot to explore and see every day and we are also more than satisfied with our university projects.

One more trip to Rotterdam before I give my final presentation next week. It's a funny feeling to know that I'll be back in Kiel in a week and the Erasmus adventure is on!

University with a difference. There was a tattoo workshop at THUAS today. Drawing straight lines is not that easy... Tomorrow is the last presentation - Service Design. The semester is almost over.
Spontaneous short trip to Amsterdam last weekend. It's crazy how many tourists run in front of the bikes there... The Hague is a little more relaxed.

Today I'm going back to The Hague to take my last exams and then, of course, say goodbye to everyone. Even though I'm of course sad that my time here will soon be over, I'm now also looking forward to Kiel again

Recently caught by our dear professor Jannie at the CMDate at our Faculty of IT & Design. The CMDate is similar to the company contact day in Kiel, but especially for our faculty.

I finally managed to go to the Mauritshuis and see the famous painting "The Girl with the Pearl Earrings". In the dutch insights course we were told that you can't have lived here without seeing the painting, so another thing to tick off my bucket list.

It's the most wonderful time of the year
The Christmas decorations in Delft are something very special! It takes just 30 minutes by bike from The Hague to get to this magical City and I couldn't imagine a more beautiful place right now in the run-up to Christmas!

This is how you transport your dogs in the Netherlands.
We went to the beach near Scheveningen today. It was beautiful!
It's getting cold in The Hague. One thing I've learned during my time here is to spend some time with myself. Just go for a walk and enjoy the sun, have a coffee and read a book. Not having so much on my plate and switching off.

First exams in The Hague done!
We had mid-term presentations for which we were graded and I have rarely been so nervous before an exam... a presentation entirely in English. But everything went very well and now we can start the second half of the semester

Do you know the kind of art that is so fascinating that it gives you goosebumps? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
You probably all know some of his world-famous works, whether from design books or your school days when it was all about optical illusions or learning how to draw in perspective. Around 150 works by Dutch graphic designer and artist Maurits Cornelis Escher (1898-1972) have been on display at the Escher Museum in the Palace since 2002. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Incidentally, this former royal palace was sold to the City of The Hague by the royal family in 1991 on the condition that only cultural activities could take place there. It is the only building in the City where the original palace function can still be experienced. The combination of location and Escher makes the experience even more enjoyable. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I don't often rave about museums like this, but I haven't been this excited about a museum visit for a long time! Afterwards, we had incredibly good food and wine at Milú around the corner. Two great tips!

This is my group from the European Project Semester
Sarah (Korea), Wout (Netherlands), Jhony (Columbia), Nikita (Germany), Charles (Taiwan). Together we are working on our project the whole semester.

Golden fall in The Hague
It's crazy how time flies, 2/5 of the semester abroad is actually already over... we just had a week's vacation, but are now all back on site.

The European Project Semester is slowly entering the hot phase. We're designing a website to promote more sustainability in the Netherlands. The others in the team are taking care of creating the actual website and I'm currently working on a communication concept.

Brainstorming in a café.
There are countless cute cafés here, including many near the university, essential for survival. This week we are already handing in the first project.

Weekend trip to Antwerp and a visit to the Fotomuseum
It's just under 2 hours by Flixbus from The Hague to Antwerp, so I can relax for the weekend and visit the others. And although it's not actually that far away, the City has a completely different flair to The Hague

A round of chess at THUAS.
I'm slowly settling in here.
The timetable in the seventh and penultimate semester of Media and Communication Design is not very full, but there is a lot of project work to do.
The courses here are staggered in such a way that Project 1 (Cultural Design) is presented after just four intensive weeks. This is followed by the Service Design project in a further short time frame. There are also coaching sessions.
The focus of the semester is on the autonomous design project, which takes 12 weeks and for which we have to find a client.
At the end of the semester, after all the submissions, there is a period in which a failed project can be repeated. Thanks to this system, there is a lot of structure in the course. As a creative chaotic person who works better under pressure, I quite like it!

Today is Prinsjedag in The Hague and the City is in a state of emergency. Everywhere you look you see orange, horse-drawn carriages and, more importantly, the King!

Feeling pretty dutch
I bought a second-hand bike, because you're really stuck here without one. Now I'm still enjoying a nice evening here in The Hague, but you can tell that autumn is coming because it has cooled down considerably

Greetings from the beautiful City of The Hague from Jojo, Brahm, Marley and Lara - Lara is me, by the way. I'm studying Multimedia Production in Kiel and am spending this winter semester at the Faculty of IT and Design at The Hague University.
These cute three furry friends here are my flatmates for this semester alongside three equally lovely human beings - hooray!
