Fundamentals research for the development of bimetallic lightweight components via laser cladding of bronze on aluminum and development of graded coating transitions
Brief description
The aim of the project is the development of lightweight components for aerospace technology from innovative material composites, which require the development of a new, multi-stage production technology. The tasks lie in the focus on materials research and technology as well as production technology with the use of the new materials and material composites for component production in the subsequent R&D area of process technology for laser deposition welding. Due to the extensive and complex nature of the tasks involved, each of these two Focus on areas is divided into two sub-projects that require different levels of expertise. These requirements result in the project structure with 4 cooperation partners, 2 companies on the material development side and one company and one research institute on the process technology and coating development side. In the course of the project, a demonstrator is to be developed to prove the project objectives, thus providing the basic know-how for the realization of prototypes of innovative bimetallic lightweight components for aerospace technology via laser cladding of bronze on aluminium.
