HAW Kiel itself organizes numerous events in the field of knowledge and technology transfer or is involved in them in cooperation, for example as an exhibitor.
On April 28, the Schiffbautechnische Gesellschaft e.V. (STG ) invites you to its consultation day at the university in the Audimax. The event is aimed at experts, students and interested parties who want to find out more about current developments in shipbuilding.
Leadership by Prof. Hendrik Dankowski, Head of the STG Committee "Ship Design and Ship Safety", will focus on the topic: "Unconventional Ships and New Propulsion Systems".

In 2023, the first solid construction seminar of the UAS took place at the Institute of Civil Engineering. A great opportunity for exchange and networking between the university, construction industry, clients and young engineers. The presentations will focus on current research topics that are relevant to the Institute of Civil Engineering and major construction projects in the state of Schleswig-Holstein. The Saminar will now take place regularly every two years - the next time is expected to be in June 2025.

Gain an in-depth insight into current research results and technological developments along the entire power electronics value chain - from innovative materials and advanced integration technologies to system approaches for future applications. Take the opportunity to exchange ideas with experts from industry, science and applied research. Contributions from ongoing projects and young scientists will also provide practical insights into Application-Oriented solutions.

talent transfair takes place twice a year, alternating between the campuses of HAW and CAU Kiel. The fair offers students and alumni from all disciplines the opportunity to network with companies from various sectors and to jointly develop career prospects. The focus is on career orientation, specific job offers and the exchange of professional experience and knowledge. Next event on the CAU campus: May 22, 2025.
Once a semester - always six weeks after the start of lectures - the so-called Interdisciplinary Weeks (IDW) take place. They offer students the opportunity to acquire further professionally relevant skills in addition to the subject-specific content of the degree course. There are no regular events during the IDW, and students are free to participate in the various types of events. The program also includes special events for teaching staff and employees.
