StartUp SH 2.0 sub-project

Project title

Novel structures - StartUp SH 2.0 Making economic use of innovations for Schleswig-Holstein - building tomorrow's SMEs - follow-up project (PART FHK)

Icon Sustainable value creation

Brief description

As a project partner of StartUp SH 2.0, HAW Kiel aims to implement a campus-wide and, above all, transdisciplinary start-up support concept during the project phase until 2026. This includes both the expansion of infrastructural measures, such as coworking space and Campus FabLab, as well as the further development of advisory services for those interested in starting a business and stronger networking at various levels. On the one hand, this should take place within the HAW - transdisciplinary between the departments and the defined research focal points - and on the other hand with partners from the regional economy, such as: Market meets Start-ups. This will increase the visibility of entrepreneurial activities on campus and thus the start-up culture at HAW Kiel and make the university's transfer offers accessible to a wider public.

Based on the existing structures, the following work packages will be implemented:

  • Early motivation of students for future start-ups
  • Identification and analysis of start-up potential through ideas competitions and support in the development of business models
  • Development of prototypes during the "Prototyping Week" at Kiel's Seefischmarkt
  • Extensive public relations work to make the start-up potential at HAW Kiel more visible and to promote further networking
  • Promotion of original and transdisciplinary projects with a focus on "Agro Tech Impact Start-ups", i.e. the use of innovative technologies in agriculture
