Brief description

The "Floating Buildings" project aims to develop a new type of research and demonstration object for sustainable, energy self-sufficient living on the water. By repurposing disused residential containers, a floatable prototype with a modular design is being created on the Schwentine. The aim is to develop a concept that combines recycling, resource conservation and energy self-sufficiency in an innovative form of living. The plan is to develop an innovative, self-sufficient energy concept that includes the use of a water heat pump and other renewable energy sources. Over the course of the project, the technical and economic feasibility of these approaches will be investigated and evaluated. The project thus makes a direct contribution to research into climate-neutral energy systems in the building sector.
