Hope & Despair / H&D-stories
Brief description
This project aims to renew tourism by linking communication between the 7 attractions - through the Second World War and its horrors, but also through life-affirming stories of survival against all odds. The communication also looks for parallels to current events and uses new storytelling techniques to engage new generations. The HAW Kiel work package will enable participating museums and project partners to identify and develop a variety of narrative concepts that are relevant in a contemporary context for generations who did not directly experience the Second World War by highlighting parallels and movements in today's global society. Joint workshops will be held for institutions in Northern Germany and Denmark to develop consistent narrative concepts across borders and locations that can be pursued jointly by the project partners.
