Specialisations - Focal Points

During the advanced studies phase, students choose one of the specialization tracks, which are aligned with current developments. Two specialization tracks are currently offered: Energy Engineering and Information Technology:

Energy Engineering

Graduates of the “Energy Engineering” specialization possess expertise in the areas of energy generation, transmission, and distribution (high-voltage engineering, electrical machines, and Control Technology). Particular emphasis is placed on renewable energies and their economic implementation.

Information Technology

Graduates of the “Information Technology” specialization are proficient in the fields of analog and digital signals, as well as their transmission and filtering. They also receive detailed training in the fields of software development, which encompasses both low-level and object-oriented programming. Graduates are able to develop software for microcontrollers as well as PCs.

Both specializations address current technological trends, ensuring that students graduate with state-of-the-art expertise relevant to their field and are able to apply it in professional practice. This includes topics such as smart grids, the energy transition, Industry 4.0, and the Internet of Things.
