Thorstens Stark's research focuses include corporate restructurings and reorganizations from insolvency, taking into account tax aspects; subordination agreements at the intersection of corporate, insolvency, and tax law; harmonization of group taxation within the EU; tax treatment of permanent establishment profits of foreign EU corporations; company formations in the United Arab Emirates – particularly from a tax perspective; and Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs) – with a focus on their tax implications.

Thorsten Stark teaches business law, the law of credit security, corporate taxation, business law, and retention of title in commercial transactions.

Thorsten Stark’s office hours are on Thursdays from 3:30 PM to 4:00 PM.
