Prof. Dr. Rob Wiechern is Professor of Organization and Leadership at the Faculty of Business. He is responsible for the Bachelor and Master students orientation days, supervises the Bachelor’s specialization “Leadership, People Management and organizational design,” and lectures in the areas of Soft Skills, Leadership, Organizational design and Human Resource.

Education
Prof. Dr. Rob Wiechern is Professor of Organization and Leadership at the Faculty of Business.
After completing a 2-year training as "Industriekaufmann (IHK)" he studied economics at Witten University while simultaneously working as a research associate at the Witten Institute for Family Businesses (WIFU). He subsequently earned his doctorate (Dr. rer. pol.) at Witten University, Chair of Leadership and Organization, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Rudolf Wimmer and Prof. Dr. Fritz B. Simon, alongside working at Daimler AG.
Before joining Kiel University of Applied Sciences, he taught in the fields of Management, Organization, Entrepreneurship, and Small and Medium-Sized Family Enterprises at HTW Berlin, the University of Hildesheim, and Hildesheim University of Applied Sciences.
Professional Career
Prof. Dr. Wiechern has held several long-term positions, including with the Society & Technology Research Group at Daimler AG; in the establishment and operational management of a subsidiary of a medium-sized project developer in the field of renewable energy; as a partner in strategy and organization consulting; and as a start-up coach in the field of business model creation and team development (EXIST founder support program of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy).
He is co-founder of bridges & links GmbH, which fosters collaboration between medium-sized family businesses and technology-oriented start-ups.
