The research focuses of Jan-Hendrik Meier are empirical capital market research, empirical tax research, institutional and behavioral accounting research, mergers and acquisitions, data science and business analytics, as well as artificial intelligence in science.
Additionally, Jan-Hendrik Meier is Associate Editor of the Journal of Financial Reporting and Accounting (JFRA, Emerald), conference chair and member of the organizing committee of the Trends in Accounting Research Conference (TARC) held in Łódź, Kaunas, Kiel, and Växjö, and a member of the editorial board of Zeszyty Teoretyczne Rachunkowości (Theoretical Journal of Accounting).
Furthermore, Jan-Hendrik Meier holds memberships in the European Accounting Association (EAA), the European Finance Association (EFA), the Controlling Working Group at Universities of Applied Sciences, the Finance Working Group at Universities of Applied Sciences, and the Taxation and Auditing Working Group at Universities of Applied Sciences.
