At the Faculty of Business, Dr. Nicole Waidlein teaches the courses Microeconomics and Macroeconomics and serves as Program Director of the Bachelor's degree program in Business Administration.

Since August 2024, Dr. Nicole Waidlein has held a visiting professorship in Economics at Kiel University of Applied Sciences. In March 2025, she assumed the role of Program Director for the Bachelor's degree program in Business Administration.
Dr. Nicole Waidlein is also Editor-in-Chief of the journals Wirtschaftsdienst – Zeitschrift für Wirtschaftspolitik and Intereconomics – Review of European Economic Policy, both published by the ZBW – Leibniz Information Centre for Economics.
She has previously taught and conducted research at Kiel University (CAU), the University of Mannheim, and the University of Hohenheim.
