Loan period, loan periods, renewal

Media from the open access holdings and the magazine (incl. non-books) can be borrowed for 4 weeks. Audio CDs and CD-ROMs are available at the counter.

You can renew borrowed media independently up to 5 times for a further 4 weeks in your user account, provided they are not reserved by other users.

Air Pump

The Central Library of Kiel University of Applied Sciences offers an air pump with which you can pump up your bike. Just ask at the counter!

Presence inventory

The presence inventory is marked as such with a yellow sticker and cannot be borrowed, as it must be available for inspection on site at all times.

Signature

A shelfmark is a universal system for classifying media to higher-level subject disciplines.

You can recognize a book from this collection by the following shelfmark:
BWL 20-1/4

  • "BWL 20" → stands for the number of the upper group.
  • "1" → stands for the place where the book you are looking for is located within the group
  • "4" → means that the book is in the inventory more than once

Overview boards are located on the front sides of the shelves.

Lockers

Bags may not be taken into the library. You can lock your bags in the lockers at the entrance for a deposit or place them on the open shelves by the counter.
