The Department of Buisness is active in research and in the transfer of research findings into practice through various institutions. ​

• F&E GmbH:

F&E GmbH, located on the HAW Kiel campus, sees itself as a bridge between business and academia. Its goal is to bring together scientific expertise with the research and development needs of businesses. F&E GmbH is an independent and autonomous company managed according to private-sector principles. It carries out contract-based projects based on specific tasks or challenges posed by its respective clients. To this end, F&E GmbH draws on the facilities of HAW Kiel as part of its cooperation with the university.
