Welcome to Kiel University of Applied Sciences and the Department of Computer Science and Electrical Engineering!

Depending on whether you have decided to enrol in a first degree programme at bachelor's level, a master's programme, or to transfer to a higher semester, you will find the information you need to get started in the department below.

We welcome the new students to the bachelor's degree programmes.

We want to give our new students a good start at Kiel University of Applied Sciences.

Due to application and enrolment deadlines, you may not be enrolled by the beginning of September, especially for programmes with no admission restrictions (electrical engineering, mechatronics and industrial engineering/electrical engineering). Therefore, in your own interest, we ask you to apply and enrol early. You will receive your login details and university ID card by post from our admissions office after enrolment. In the event of late enrolment, please contact the management of the Department of Computer Science and Electrical Engineering.

Welcome: Monday, 1 September 2025, arrival from 9:30 a.m., welcome begins at 10:30 a.m.

Introduction day: Tuesday, 2 September 2025, from 10:30 a.m.

  • Please bring your HAW email address (username) and the corresponding password with you

You are welcome to attend even if you have applied and received an enrolment appointment that is after these introductory events!

We offer a mathematics bridge course for every degree programme (except media engineering). The courses will take place from 3 September 2025 to 12 September 2025. Even if you do not yet have your login details, you are welcome to attend this course. No registration is necessary. You can also start the course later, but every day is important.

We welcome new students to the Master's programmes

For all new students: You will receive your user access data (e-mail address) by post to the address you provided in your application. If you are already studying at Kiel University of Applied Sciences and have not yet been de-registered, your previous e-mail address remains valid and can be used for the registration process.
